Serena is currently a Postdoc at the Centre for Mathematical Cognition at Loughborough University (United Kingdom). She obtained her undergraduate (2015) and MSc. (2017) degrees in Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Padova in Italy. Afterwards, she obtained her Ph.D. in Mathematics Education (2023) at the Centre for Mathematical Cognition at Loughborough University, where she is now working as Research Associate/ University Teacher in Psychology in Education.
Serena’s research interests include many aspects of numerical cognition, with particular attention to mathematics anxiety and its relationship with arithmetic performance in children and university students.
Serena collaborates with the MCLL on research related to mathematics anxiety.
